The Leo effigy of a lion standing in the Kingston landscape zodiac faces west with its head in Thames Ditton, where Its crown would be positioned close to St Nicholas church and the River Thames with a private inhabited island.
Thames Ditton has a Red Lion Inn & Lion House in the High Street plus a St Leonards Road (as does Claygate & Surbiton). Surbiton’s cost of arms contains a red griffin and the church is dedicated to St Mark and Leo House on the Portsmouth Road before reaching Seething Wells announces you have entered Leo’s domain.

The Lion’s spine follows Clayton Road then Chessington Road which extends to Leo’s tail at Ewell. Its back legs step into Epsom and Chessington, where the zoo is sited a little outside below Its stomach within sphere of Leo’s influence. The front legs extend towards Claygate and Oxshott.
Fleece Road, Long Ditton would fit on the mane of the lion. Mary Caine suggests that at nearby Hook, is where the lion is chattled to symbolically harness excess emotional energy for sublimation in the art of the mystery tradition.
Enid Blyton, herself a Leo, wrote at Hook on Leo’s mane. Hook has the North Star Inn & The Maypole on Hook Road, Surbiton has nearby a green lane named Love Lane, off Herne Road on the Long Ditton side of the Kingston by pass which suggests past frivolities. Other noted Leo’s for comparison include Madonna, Coco Chanel, Henry Ford and Roman Polanski.

Leo relates to Sun in all Its glory as a life force empowering in Its rays of light. This is a masculine sign, the fifth in sequence from beginning of Zodiac year which commences with Aries an associated fire sign, though Leo’s normally have matured to use the power of the element more wisely, gaining admiration.
To the Egyptians the start of the year was considered to be at this time of year. The mysterious Sphinx (there were once two others which lie buried) sits next to the 3 Pyramids at Gaza with their association with the element of fire. The Sphinx representing part man, god and lion holds the attributes of strength and wisdom.
The rising and flooding of the Nile occured at this time of the year when the blue star Sirius rose at dawn, together with Ra the golden sun, which together appearing like two suns in the heavens, which explains the reason for this time referred to as the Lion’s Gate, a portal for a flood of beneficial cosmic influences. The 8th August is the date this year for the climax of these cosmic forces which complete their influence on the 12th.
Gold is the metal associated with Leo, the colour yellow and orange like the Sunflower as well as the hide of a lion.
The Heart and spine in the human body relate to the sign of Leo. Leo’s may suffer in these areas, if overburdened or misusing their natural attributes.

Leo is deeply associated with royalty, the courage of the Lion being considered another attribute of the King of beasts.
Leo’s are natural assertive leaders with regal bearing, craving the leading light and appreciation with strength of character and dignity that can display powers of authority.
The Lion and the Unicorn appear on royal crests ( representing the opposite natures of Summer & Winter). The mythical Griffin is another being which has the rear features of a winged lion, which originated in ancient Assyria. Of the 4 Christian evangelists St Mark is depicted as a man with body of a lion with wings.
Mary Caine considered that the Dove was Leo’s sun ray rising from Its heart. Sun Gods of ancient myths have been represented in bird form sent to Earth to fertilse Earth maidens.

We will be connecting with the crystal energy for Leo.

We look forward to you joining us on this Zodiac Adventure and healing walk, connecting with new friends and old acquaintances.
