Mary Caine discovered the Kingston Zodiac and during the walk we will acknowledge Mary’s discovery and are gratefully for the initial work she did on the Kingston Zodiac. If you are new to the Zodiac, a brief introduction to the Zodiac and the map effigies will be shown at the beginning of the walk.

Kingston_Zodiac_Sunbury_Park As we walk we will be connecting to the landscape with the intention of healing the Taurus energy both in ourselves and the land. As well as being a wonderful healing and connection to the land, it is a personal journey for transformation. We shall harness connections to the Earth spirit in the landscape to gain enlightenment and revelations/synchronicity.

At the start of each walk you will have the option to receive a smudging using North American white sage which will cleanse your energy. Sometimes we may use crystals, meditation or cards to support us on our way. At various sites we bless and honour the spirit of place, its guardians and the ancestors who sought sanctuary here over many centuries
.
During our walk the intention is to become enriched and energised by the experience and in that process give back healing to the land and its occupants both natural and human.
We are now in our 3rd year of walking the Kingston Zodiac and continue to find new connections as we move through to new levels of personal and planetary consciousness. There will be plenty of time to meet like minded people and connect with nature.

More Info on Kingston Zodiac Taurus:

The large Taurus bull effigy in the land stretches from Sunbury and Kempton all the way to Twickenham, with its horns overlooking the Thames.
We are able to connect with celebrations of Beltaine a fire festival at this time of year which evolved into May day fairs and dancing around a maypole, likely a sacred tree chosen for its blossom. We shall notice many in full white or pink bloom as we take a leisurely stroll along the Sunbury Trail.

Taurus the second sign in the cyclic journey of the Zodiac year is an earth sign attuned to Venus and is therefore complimentary feminine in nature to the masculine idea of the Bull.

Taurus_Kingston_ZodiacSunbury is an ideal name for the habitat of our pagan ancestors. Ancient Bronze age funerary urns have been found on the common before becoming an Anglo-Saxon settlement.
Certainly one burial mound remains in evidence within someones back garden, backing onto a local park off Green Street, denoting the route has long history as an ancient north-south trackway from the river Thames.
It is likely that it headed for the sacred ritual area now lying beneath Heathrow Airport and Hounslow Heath.
Sunbury would have been an ideal disembarking or crossing point of the Thames.
Rivermead Island is a long island or eyot that has formed up over centuries from silt and debris, where swans, ducks and people enjoy a rest or a picnic. The opposite side of the bank is in the sign of Cancer (symbolised as a boat, rather than a crab).

We intend to walk Sunbury Park, perhaps onto French Street, derived from French Huguenot refugees that made their way here, around 1685. Also on the itenerary are the Walled Garden, attached to Sunbury House that had once belonged to Nicasius Yetswiert, Clerk to the signet for Queen Elizabeth, and was buried in the church in 1586. The Manor house was replaced by a Palladian Mansion in about 1725 but fell into disrepair and replaced by a Victorian one, but this to was demolished in the 1950’s.
St Mary’s church – rebuilt in 1732, (designed by Stephen Wright, Master Mason – later the Royal Clerk of Works at Hampton Court in 1746), likely on the site of the older church).

We will be connecting with the energy of Sapphire this month, a wonderful blue crystal with many healing properties.

We look forward to you joining us on this Zodiac Adventure and healing walk, connecting with new friends and old acquaintances.

After the walk there is a lovely cafe in Sunbury Park we can visit or we may visit Jeans house for a cuppa in the her garden! (a regular Kingston Zodiac walker).

Please note even though we welcome dogs on the walks, this time we will be visiting Sunbury Park which doesn’t allow dogs.
Love & Gratitude
