We will be connecting and walking Libra energy in The Kingston Zodiac – in the heart of Kingston
Mary Caine discovered the terrestial Zodiac in the landscape centred around Kingston upon Thames. This month is Libra in the Kingston Zodiac.
Interestingly Libra is the 7th sign counting round from Aries.
As we walk we will be connecting to the landscape with the intention of healing the Libra energy both in ourselves and the land.
As well as being a wonderful healing and connection to the land, it is a personal journey for transformation.
We shall harness connections to the Earth spirit in the landscape to gain enlightenment and revelations/synchronicity.
At the start of each walk you will have the option to receive a smudging using North American white sage which will cleanse your energy. Sometimes we may use crystals, meditation or cards to support us on our way.
At various sites we bless and honour the spirit of place, its guardians and the ancestors who sought sanctuary here over many centuries.
Wednesday 8th October 2014
We will begin at:
11.30am to catch the full moon energy at 11.52am
Libra will be a 2-3 hours connection/walk and we will go for tea/refreshments and chat for those that wish to stay on.
We will meet at:
All Saints church in the centre of Kingston
Market Pl, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1JP
We will meet at the side entrance of the church, it is currently undergoing refurbishment so main entrance is inaccessible. Nearest stations: Kingston Station
• Bring water & umbrella just in case!
• We will be walking on pavements this time, however please dress in suitable attire, good walking shoes, trainers. Not flip flops!
• The walk will go ahead no matter what the weather conditions are, and bring a bottle of water as we are not always near shops or cafes.
We enter into the Zodiac air sign of Libra, at the time of the full moon. The associated symbol is the Scales of balance. These scales are commonly depicted in iconography held by Archangel Michael, which signify Justice in the balance.
With the correspondence of the Dove, this brings mercy into the equation – a quality of love, both human and divine.
Libra’s stars are the 7 stars of the Plough.
Is it coincidence that 7 Saxon Kings were crowned at the King’s Stone, (where the płace got its name) all were descendants of King Alfred the Great, famed for installing laws of justice.
The Dove effigy in the landscape of Kingston brings and harnesses white light, inspiration and a source for enlightenment.
Libra signifies balance, as its period follows on from the Autumn equinox and harvest time.
Were the Saxon kings aware of the association when they made the place the seat for crowning to make their mark of authority upon the City of London when their provincial capital at that time was Winchester?
Kingston Bridge was for many centuries the first crossing point over the River Thames upstream from London Bridge.
This would have offered travelers the option to avoid having to go directly through the busy capital.
( Staines was the major crossing point for travelers to the west, with a possible alternative at Chertsey).
The Coronation Line alignment (according to Chris Streets Earthstars) has to cross the River Thames 7 times from Blackfriars to Hampton Court, thus very suggestive of a chakra system with Kingston the base chakra and St Pauls the crown.
All Saints Church stands by the south side of the bridge. Within the churchyard was apparently the original site of the King’s Stone (or indeed the Coronation Stone, as the new king had to be seated upon it, to be crowned). This point is also on the now famous Coronation Ley Line, which connects St George’s Hill, Weybridge directly through Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral to the mount at Arnold Circus in London, to name a few points of interest.
During our walk the intention is to become enriched and energised by the experience and in that process give back healing to the land and its occupants both natural and human.
We have walked the Kingston Zodiac for 2 years and continue to find new connections as we move through to new levels of personal and planetary consciousness. There will be plenty of time to meet like minded people and connect with nature.
We look forward to you joining us on this Zodiac Adventure and healing walk, connecting with new friends and old acquaintances.
Love & Gratitude
Jo & Trui xx
The next walk will be into Scorpio in Merton: Thursday 6th November.
