Meeting Place: Please sign up to newsletter to receive meeting place.

Mary Caine discovered the Kingston Zodiac and during the walk we will acknowledge Mary’s discovery and are gratefully for the initial work she did on the Kingston Zodiac.

If you are new to the Zodiac, a brief introduction to the Zodiac and the map effigies will be shown at the beginning of the walk.

As we walk we will be connecting to the landscape with the intention of healing the Gemini energy both in ourselves and the land. As well as being a wonderful healing and connection to the land, it is a personal journey for transformation. We shall harness connections to the Earth spirit in the landscape to gain enlightenment and revelations/synchronicity.
At the start of each walk you will have the option to receive a smudging using North American white sage which will cleanse your energy. Sometimes we may use crystals, meditation or cards to support us on our way. At various sites we bless and honour the spirit of place, its guardians and the ancestors who sought sanctuary here over many centuries.
During our walk the intention is to become enriched and energised by the experience and in that process give back healing to the land and its occupants both natural and human.
We are now in our 3rd year of walking the Kingston Zodiac and continue to find new connections as we move through to new levels of personal and planetary consciousness. There will be plenty of time to meet like minded people and connect with nature.
• Bring drinking water, sun protection & umbrella just in case!
• We will be walking on grass and possible muddy puddle pathways depending on the weather, please dress in suitable attire, good walking shoes, trainers!
• The walk will go ahead no matter what the weather conditions are and bring a bottle of water as we are not always near shops or cafes.

More Info:

The 4th sign of the zodiac Cancer corresponds to he influence of the Moon, in its various aspects, which occur during periods of its four quarters (or weeks) during each month of the year. The Moon relates to the elements of water and the metal silver and is essentially feminine in nature. Fundamentally, Cancer requires emotional security and has a strong maternal attribute to care, nurture and nourish. Cancerians are protective, home loving, intuitive and sensitive with strong instincts. Cancer is strongly connected to conception and birth, with its glyph appearing like 69 sideways, resemble the claws of the crab, the human seed and the symbols of ying and yang.

Who has not observed the appearance of the silvery moon, sometimes like a ship at sea in the heavens during its first quarter crescent phase. Astrologically the sign of Cancer is usually depicted as a crab with extended claws which scuttles sideways in movement upon land.
From the Earth, we only able to obseve one side of the moon, the majority of the rest is occulted on its dark side, which corresponds to the subconscious, which effect our dreams when we sleep. Emotional links with the past form a reluctance to break away from ties and cycles of previous lifestyle.

Rather than a crab, the effigy in the Kingston Zodiac takes the appearance of a simple boat, with a tall stern at its western end at Walton on Thames with the prow extending along the south bank of the River Thames onwards to Platt’s Eyot and Hurst Park and possibly further.
The moon influences the ebb and flow of the tides, which influence growth as well as mood swings.
The ship appears to conveying the Gemini twins on board, whose lower limbs are obscured within the outline of the ship. The ship appears to be taking water these days, with the man made Molesley Reservoirs built to ease flooding risks. This and other water reservoirs in the area, serve the water needs of London.
The Taurean influence occupies the opposite, northern bank of the Thames all the way to Hampton Court.
In Greek myth, the Moon was named Hecate before rising and Astarte when a crescent. To the Romans she was named Diana.
Viewed on a star map overlaid upon the Kingston Zodiac, Cancer appears to be positioned approximately between the Pole star and the belt of Orion.

In terms of the precessionary ages, while we have entered the age of Aquarius, the Cancerian age (c8800-6400 BC) related back to the mysterious deluge and the demise of Atlantis following the last ice age.

We will be connecting with the energy of Emerald this month, a wonderful crystal with many healing properties.
We look forward to you joining us on this Zodiac Adventure and healing walk, connecting with new friends and old acquaintances.
After the walk we will visit a cafe near the river for much needed refreshment.

We welcome dogs on the walks.

Love & Gratitude
Jo & Trui xx
