Aquarius Kingston Zodiac Walk

Next walk into aquarius is on Tuesday 3rd February at 12pm in Osterley Park.

We will be connecting and walking Aquarius energy in The Kingston Zodiac.

Mary Caine discovered the terrestial Zodiac in the landscape centred around Kingston upon Thames. This month is Aquarius in the Kingston Zodiac.

Interestingly Aquarius is the 11th sign counting round from Aries.

As we walk we will be connecting to the landscape with the intention of healing the Aquarius energy both in ourselves and the land. As well as being a wonderful healing and connection to the land, it is a personal journey for transformation. We shall harness connections to the Earth spirit in the landscape to gain enlightenment and revelations/synchronicity.

At the start of each walk you will have the option to receive a smudging using North American white sage which will cleanse your energy. Sometimes we may use crystals, meditation or cards to support us on our way. At various sites we bless and honour the spirit of place, its guardians and the ancestors who sought sanctuary here over many centuries.

Aquarius will be a 2 hour connection/walk and we will go for tea/refreshments and chat for those that wish to stay on. There is a cafe in Osterley Park or we can go to one near by opposite a great 2nd hand bookshop!

Further Info:

Our Aquarius walk is around Osterley Park, in view of the majestic stately home and grounds maintained by the National Trust. There is no doubt we are now in the Age of Aquarius, an air sign, favouring the ideas of freedom, the 11th sign of the Zodiac which during medieval times was ruled by Saturn (like the previous sign of Capricorn). The ruling planet has since been amended to Uranus (discovered by William Herschel in 1781).

Unpredictable and changeable Uranus giving characteristics of independence, radical or reforming with progressive outlook, inventive, sometimes ahead of their time, with sense of vision and clarity. Negative attributes appear to stem from negative tendencies of unwanted unresolved or outmoded saturnian impulses.
The accepted pictogram representing Aquarius is the water carrier pitching 2 streams of water – the life giving water to mankind (Divine wisdom, in the form of the mystical dew for the good of humanity). In Greek myth dipicted as the youth Ganymede, carried to heaven to become cup bearer to the Olympian Gods by the Great Eagle.

Mary Caine expressed the Kingston Zodiac effigy in the form of the Phoenix, with its head facing north, formed by the large lake. Osterley Park, bordering the M4 road forms the body and southern wings of the bird.

The symbol of Uranus is a cross with backward and forward facing C shapes attached to the horizontal bar, rather like wings shapes of an upraised bird.
In 1761 the old Tudor building was owned by Sir Thomas Gresham, the effective Chancellor for Queen Elizabeth was built anew by Sir Francis Child (of Childs Bank fame) by the architect Robert Adam, flanked by what appear to be 2 golden eagles. The Tudor stable block remains on the west side of the mansion, in front of the Mansion Gardens (**Open for entry to visitors at £4.50 /Free to National Trust members**).
Gemstone we will be working with will be Ruby.

This crystal is filled with love, and helps with self-love and courage to be best potential that a person has. It is said to bring contentment and peace and ward off bad dreams.

It is a symbol of friendship and love, vitality and royalty.

Ruby works with the flow of blood as an aid to circulation and aids the cleansing and removal of infection or germs in the blood.

The fiery and captivating Ruby is a stone of nobility, considered the most magnificent of all gems, the queen of stones and the stone of kings. Ancients believed it surpassed all other precious stones in virtue, and its value exceeded even that of the Diamond.

Revered in many cultures throughout history, Ruby has always been a talisman of passion, protection and prosperity.
The prelude to the year and times ahead live in the inner vision preparing the way for progressive transformations.

We meet again in the energy coming into the full moon, a significant point in astrological time. The full moon will 11.23pm on Tuesday night.

During our walk the intention is to become enriched and energised by the experience and in that process give back healing to the land and its occupants both natural and human.
We are now in our 3rd year of walking the Kingston Zodiac and continue to find new connections as we move through to new levels of personal and planetary consciousness. There will be plenty of time to meet like minded people and connect with nature.

We look forward to you joining us on this Zodiac Adventure and healing walk, connecting with new friends and old acquaintances.

Love & Gratitude

Jo & Trui xx
